Episode 92 Full Recap (Spoilers)

Spoiler warning: this recap covers the whole episode.

Xiao Yan Foils the Hong Kidnapping

The Hong family is using Fenglei Pavilion's backing to force a marriage with the Han family and complete its annexation plan. At the same time, Hong men are sent to kidnap Han Xue, hoping to push the Han family into compromising. Xiao Yan steps in and destroys the attempt. He does it partly to repay Han Xue for saving his life, and partly because of the old debt he owes Han Yue. From here on, he decides to defend the Han family.

The Captured Man Reveals the Soul Palace Lead

Xiao Yan questions one of the captured men about where his teacher is held inside the Soul Palace. The prisoner scoffs that no one can enter the Soul Palace, then gives up a location: a city in the underworld, where a branch temple holds Yaochen. He warns that a Dou Zun-level elder and several guardians watch over that hall. Xiao Yan recognizes the soul pressure he felt there during an earlier encounter, and the warning only hardens his resolve to rescue his teacher.

Three Days of Waiting and Teasing

Three days pass while Xiao Yan recovers from his injuries and Han Xue grows anxious about him. Han Yue teases her about whether she is in love with him, and Han Xue brushes the question off. Han Yue points out that Xiao Yan already has someone he likes, and says even the top three at Canaan College could not last ten rounds against him. Once Xiao Yan says he has almost fully recovered, the family sets off to meet Uncle Han and the others.

Hongli Presses the Duel

At the Han house, the Hong family head, Hongli, is in no mood to wait. He offers ten years of peace as the prize if the Han family's fighter wins, and treats the Han side's choice of an outsider as a sign they have no one else. Hong Chen, meanwhile, dismisses Xiao Yan as an unknown whose name carries no weight next to his own. He says his Fenglei Pavilion skills are rarely matched among his peers in Zhongzhou, and promises to show Xiao Yan no mercy.

Xiao Yan Takes On Hong Chen's Thunder

Hong Chen opens with thunder-attribute fighting spirit and a lightning claw, then unleashes a Fenglei Pavilion secret technique that swells his blood volume and pushes his power close to Nine Star Dou Huang level. Xiao Yan answers with the three transformations of the Heavenly Fire Mystery, using fire to match speed he could barely keep up with. Hong Chen finishes with a thunder hammer, but Xiao Yan's flame meets it head on. Hong Chen is left admitting defeat, and the fight decides the Han family's immediate future.
