Battle Through The Heavens Season 5 Episode 215

Episode 215 Full Recap (Spoilers)

Spoiler warning: this recap covers the whole episode.

The Stolen Jade and the Last Piece

The episode opens with the fallout from a Soul Clan raid. Xiao Yan and Xun'er exposed an undercover agent of the Soul Clan, but he blew himself up and fled with the stolen ancient jade, and Xiao Yan could not stop him. Only the last piece of the ancient eight-piece jade remains in Xiao Yan's hand, so Gu Yuan proposes an alliance between the Gu, Lei and Yan clans and the Heavenly Mansion Alliance to fight the enemy.

Xiao Yan Prepares to Tear Open the Tomb

Xiao Yan prepares to enter the Heavenly Tomb, which opens only once every twenty years. The passage is naturally open at a distance but would take too long, so he plans to tear open cracks by force. He is warned not to stay longer than a year, or the tomb will reject him. Xiao Yan apologizes to Uncle Gu and promises to finish before the date of the agreement with the Soul Clan. He turns down an escort, and his companions tell him to be careful and wait for his return.

Blood Knife Saint Escorts Xiao Yan

Inside the tomb, Xiao Yan meets the Blood Knife Saint, who recognizes him as the boy from the Xiao clan who once fought for honor. The Saint is struck by how much he has grown, senses the scent of flesh and blood, and tells others to get out of the way. Once he learns Xiao Yan is a descendant of Lord Xiao Xuan, he offers to lead the way and warns that anyone who dares to act against him will die. Xiao Yan thanks him, and the Saint leaves him at his ancestor's resting place.

Xiao Xuan's Missing Dou Di Piece

Xiao Yan bows to Xiao Xuan, who tells him to stop worshiping and sizes up his strength, including his Six Star Dou Sheng intermediate-stage level, soul power in the Great Perfection of Heaven, and strange fires such as Pure Lotus Demon Fire. Xiao Xuan admits he is only a remnant soul, and resurrection is out of reach. He recalls his failed attempts at Dou Di, always missing something he calls the original imperial energy. He warns that if the last jade falls to the Soul Clan, they could find the Tuoshe Ancient Emperor's cave, which the Soul Emperor believes can help him break through.

The Tomb Soul Challenges Xiao Xuan

Xiao Xuan explains that the deformed soul in the tomb is the tomb's own soul, a seal formed from countless remnant souls that acts as its jailer and drives them to devour each other. That soul appears and proposes to blend into one with him. Xiao Xuan refuses, telling it that in this tomb he is the master and that it was condensed from the remnants of the dead. Xiao Yan says the fight will be troublesome but he can cope. Xiao Xuan then chooses to ignite his soul to pave the way, and Xiao Yan vows to pass the level.
