Episode 105 Full Recap (Spoilers)

Spoiler warning: this recap covers the whole episode.

Xiao Yan's win and the crystal demand

Feng Qing'er goes down in the decisive battle, a result the crowd did not expect. She had exposed the identity of the Tian Yao royal family and borrowed its strategy to chase him, but Xiao Yan stays calm and finds his opening. Afterward she presses him on where he hid the Ancient Yellow Blood Crystal, which she had sensed in the dungeon. Lei Zun then declares the grudge between Xiao Yan and Feng Lei Pavilion settled, but warns that if more 3,000 thunders come from him, no one can save him.

Absorbing the Ancient Yellow Blood Crystal

The crystal was hidden in the Yi Fire, and that intense heat spread its energy through his whole body. Forcing it out now looks impossible, so the group decides to observe first. The crystal's power proves too wild to leave alone, and the people with him fear the body may not survive it. Instead of being pulled out, the crystal is taken in, and the Phoenix Dragon Sound that comes with it is described as the best sound wave in the world. A warning follows: be careful with the Sky Demon Emperor, or it will become a serious problem.

The teacher in Soul Hall custody and the traitor Han Feng

Once Xiao Yan is stable, he says his teacher, Yao Chen, was captured by Soul Hall to protect him. He wants to kill the traitor Han Feng, who tried to murder him, but the group keeps Han Feng alive because only he knows where Yao Chen is held. Han Feng reveals the place: a Soul Hall branch in Ming City in western Zhongzhou, guarded by two seniors, with Yao Chen locked inside. Master Feng recalls that Soul Hall was running a huge project that needed alchemists, and that Yao Chen was targeted during an expedition long ago.

Star Fall Pavilion and the star jade

Master Feng explains that he and Yao Chen founded Star Fall Pavilion together, and he will keep the master's seat open for him. He warns against spreading rumors and wants the branch's strength checked first, since Soul Hall still values Yao Chen's alchemy and is unlikely to touch him quickly. He gives Xiao Yan a star jade to smash if trouble comes, and Xiao Yan says he is heading to the Dan Tower meeting, where Yao Chen was once champion, to win the Three Thousand Flames. Master Feng suspects that is the real reason, since the teacher's rescue will need strong allies.

Dan City and a new sighting

Xiao Yan learns that Dan City holds the most alchemists on the mainland, and even a space wormhole needs about a month to get there. A tip sends him toward Fanyan Valley, where a complete version of the Three Mysteries of Tianhua might be found. The episode closes with a sighting that puts Xiao Yan in the northern region of Zhongzhou, and an order to leave the Ancient Realm.
