Battle Through The Heavens Season 5 Episode 131

Episode 131 Full Recap (Spoilers)

Spoiler warning: this recap covers the whole episode.

Scouting the Hall of Souls branch

Xiao Yan begins by asking Venerate Feng to sense the defenders inside the big hall. Feng confirms the intel: many Fight Ancestors, plus five hidden auras that belong to Fight Venerate class practitioners. Xiao Yan decides to split the work. Four companions, along with the Sky Demon Puppet, will hold back the five Venerates while he searches for Yao Chen. He sets a deadline too: once his teacher is found, everyone leaves at once, before the Hall of Souls can summon a Tian Venerate for support. Zi Yan's Demon Ants are left to deal with the lesser Hall of Souls protectors.

Demon Ants breach the hall

Stone Swallowing Demon Ants stream inside, and the guards shout that an enemy has broken in. Mu Gu appears, and Xiao Yan greets him with a sharp reply: he survived thanks to Mu Gu, and he subdued the Three Thousand Burning Flame anyway. Xiao Yan also reminds the old man that he once destroyed his spiritual strength twice. Mu Gu brushes off the insult and accuses the brat of daring to snatch someone from his Hall of Souls. Feng, for his part, says he only went out for a quiet night and is happy to stretch his muscles.

Breaking into Soul Lock Hall

Mu Gu dismisses the four Fight Ancestors as mantises trying to stop a chariot. A Fight Venerate elite then points out that the real target is not Feng but someone else, and orders his protectors to hold the brat back regardless of death. Guards warn that there is poison in the air. Xiao Yan forces one guard to reveal where the souls are kept, and the guard admits they are in the depths of Soul Lock Hall. Xiao Yan blasts his way forward and pushes toward that hall before reinforcements can arrive.

Yao Chen's farewell

Inside, Xiao Yan finds his teacher and remarks that the cauldron looks shabby. Yao Chen scolds him that an alchemist's own skill matters far more than his equipment. The mood then turns serious. Yao Chen says he has always been very satisfied with his disciple, that he can no longer stay by his side, and that from now on Xiao Yan must rely on himself for everything. Xiao Yan refuses to accept it, calls out to his teacher, and vows to bring him out of there.

Tie Jian joins the rescue

Xiao Yan tells Yao Chen that Venerate Tie Jian is also helping hold back the five Fight Venerates, alongside his companions and Old Feng. Yao Chen is surprised that Tie Jian has come. The Hall of Souls hints that the five Venerates are not the whole force, and the outside group is now the one holding the line. Before the rescue can finish, another Hall of Souls elite appears, and Xiao Yan is told to leave quickly.
