Episode 135 Full Recap (Spoilers)

Spoiler warning: this recap covers the whole episode.

Xiao Yan turns the camp standoff

Wind Lightning Pavilion launches an all-out assault on Falling Star Pavilion's disciples inside Skeleton Mountain Range. Xiao Yan arrives just in time, takes down the invaders, and learns the full story behind the dispute. Pressing Wind Lightning with his companions, he wins back the camp base without a fight. The victory keeps Falling Star Pavilion in position for the ruins.

A mysterious attack on Zi Yan

As everyone waits for the remains to open, Zi Yan is attacked by a mysterious person. Xiao Yan intervenes in time, but the attacker still escapes. The seal is about to lift, and Elder Hu is ordered to hold the camp, because a larger party would only make a bigger target. Xiao Yan takes a small group inside.

Rivals gather at the seal

Elder Huang Xuan turns up, and Wind Lightning Pavilion treats the ruins as a fight worth joining. A Heaven Demon Phoenix speaker taunts Xiao Yan as a Two-star Fight Venerate who secretly holds his tribe's Essence Blood. Valley Chief Tang of Burning Flame Valley then steps in. He says Xiao Yan once did his valley a favor, and that anyone who touches Xiao Yan will have to face Burning Flame Valley. Tang sets the score aside for later and leaves with his group once the seal breaks.

The Fight Saint's puppet test

When the seal breaks, its force is terrifying, a trial left by a Fight Saint elite. Each guardian puppet has the strength of a Peak Fight Ancestor, and the puppet leader can evolve through a formation into something near a Two-star Fight Venerate. Xiao Yan offers to hold the line and subdues the puppets with his Sky Demon Puppet, which opens a path for the others to enter.

A fire path that is really a trap

Inside, the group keeps walking in circles along the same fire path until someone realizes an enchantment is at work. The most dangerous place might be the safest, and the fire path is indeed a trap. The magma below is the real exit, and the passage runs beneath it. The true remains lie past the magma, and the group presses on toward the Soul Origin Fruit with Zi Yan leading the way.

A Heaven-Piercing Jiao guards the tree

Zi Yan finds the Soul Origin Demon Tree, guarded by a Heaven-Piercing Jiao, an ancient Magical Beast with dragon tribe bloodline that is nearly extinct outside. Xiao Yan apologizes for wanting to take the treasure and offers a ripe Transformation Grass as compensation, since the Jiao's bloodline makes transforming hard. The episode closes with Zi Yan sensing a call from somewhere not far away.
