Xiao Yan Intercepts the Phoenix Fleet
Xiao Yan leads a group of powerful warriors, including members of the Demon Membrane Clan, to intercept the Heavenly Demon Phoenix Clan's fleet halfway through its journey. Xiao Yan fights alone against the two saints, Eagle Phoenix and Kun Phoenix, and captures them. The remaining powerful members of the Heavenly Demon Phoenix Clan are suppressed as well. The only surviving Supreme Elder of the Three Heavenly Demon Phoenixes can only retreat in humiliation. Xiao Yan keeps Jiu Feng and two other hostages as a show of force, then the group rushes toward East Dragon Island to help Zi Yan.
A Trap Waits at the Dragon Islands
The group falls into a trap. Three Dragon Islands have sent warships to seal off East Dragon Island, and guards stand at the entrance to the space. The Three Dragon Kings insist their own rule is the legitimate one and call Zi Yan a fake Dragon Emperor. Their forces are sure the new ruler cannot hold out for long, and the fighting on the island grows fierce. Zhu Li, a member of the Dragon side, is caught up in the chaos and nearly killed.
A Semi-Saint Standoff and a Captured Commander
Black Engine, an ally who has been badly hurt, holds back a semi-saint from North Dragon Island. An elder from North Dragon Island tries to talk things out, but the fight turns deadly, and Black Engine holds back the semi-saint while telling Xiao Yan to hurry on and help the Dragon Emperor. Xiao Yan defeats the Xilong Island commander Qianxuan and captures him. Zhu Li is rescued and thanks Xiao Yan, and the Demon Membrane Clan chief is credited with helping defeat Qianxuan.
Zi Yan Behind the Barrier
The group reaches a barrier that blocks the Dragon Qilin, and they are told the Dragon Emperor is inside. Enemy forces try to stop them from advancing toward the upper levels. As the fight continues, Xiao Yan calls out to Zi Yan, promising to reach him right away.
