Battle Through The Heavens Season 5 Episode 175

Episode 175 Full Recap (Spoilers)

Spoiler warning: this recap covers the whole episode.

Xiao Yan wins the elder seat against Elder Hou

To win over the Pill Tower, Xiao Yan holds an alchemy contest with Elder Hou, who had already lost to Yao Chen. Elder Hou tries to summon Nine-Colored Thunder to prove that his method is the true path of alchemy. Xiao Yan takes a different route, improves the method, and condenses a Nine-Grade Precious Pill. That draws the strongest Black Demon Thunder, and he takes the full blow alone, earning an elder seat in the Little Pill Tower.

The council debates breaking neutrality

Xiao Yan greets the Grand Elder and the council, and the question is whether the Pill Tower should abandon its neutral rule and ally with the Falling Star Pavilion. One elder argues that the tower has protected many alchemists for centuries. Another warns that neutrality cannot protect alchemists who lose faith in it. The Hall of Souls is collecting souls faster, and alchemists fear for their lives. The Falling Star Pavilion's strength has grown since Yao Chen's return, which strengthens the case for an alliance.

The vote and the Pill Tower's yes

The council votes, and a majority is needed to pass the proposal. The tally comes out seven in favor, one against, and one abstaining. The Pill Tower joins the alliance, ending a long-standing rule. Xiao Yan says that the efforts of his teacher and himself have finally paid off. Council members argue that years of compromise only encouraged the Hall of Souls, so the alliance must deter it.

The Heavenly Talent Alliance takes shape

The alliance will be formally set up in three days, with Burning Flame Valley, the Flower Sect, the Pill Tower and the Falling Star Pavilion taking part. Several allies explain that the Flower Sect has been suppressed, the Fire Cloud Ancestor has gone into seclusion, and the Falling Star Pavilion nearly fell to the Mohe Alliance. Every member agrees that all powers are equal. Yao Chen is put forward as leader for now, and the alliance takes the name Heavenly Talent Alliance.

Soul Hall answers with a projection, and a new quest begins

A Hall of Souls voice mocks the alliance and says a mere projection is enough to deal with it. Attention then turns to Medusa, a Seven-Colored Swallowing Sky Python, who could reach Semi-Saint with enough energy. The group learns that the Nine Abyss Yellow Springs, home of the python clan, holds the energy she needs. The Pure Lotus Demon Fire, which appears only once every thousand years, must be subdued there too. The Nine Yin Yellow Spring Pill can weaken it, but its key ingredient exists only in those springs, so the group plans to leave tomorrow.
