The Decoy Scroll and the Real Skeleton

The episode opens by revealing that the scroll of a heavenly-rank skill was only bait. The real prize is the Dou Sheng skeleton. Once it is shattered, Xiao Yan's side seizes four fragments that carry the essence of a Dou Sheng, and rival forces move in to surround them. The group decides to stand its ground rather than give up the fragments.

Tian Yao Reinforcements Turn the Tide

Just as the group badly wounds Zhai Xing's old ghost, reinforcements from the Tian Yao imperial clan arrive. One of them steps forward to draw Elder Huang Xuan and his two companions away. Then an overpowering presence descends from the sky, an adult Taixu bone dragon. It badly wounds the Tian Yao emperor, and Huang Xuan and his men cannot put up any defense against it.

Thunder Pavilion Pledges Its Support

With the Tian Yao side shaken, Huang Xuan says the Lei Pavilion will stand with the imperial house from now on and asks for help going forward. The Lei Pavilion master agrees to back them, and the talk turns to a long-term front against the Xingyun Pavilion. The exchange also reminds everyone that Xiao Yan had already wounded Lei Pavilion disciples in a single strike earlier.

The Ancient Senior Takes Xiao Xuan Back to Dragon Island

When the fighting ends, the dragon-linked senior Heiqin says Xiao Xuan must return with him to Dragon Island. Her inheritance of the ancient dragon is still unfinished, and she has just obtained a Dragon Emperor source fruit, so the elders want her back. She first refuses outright, but when Heiqin points out that she would only be a burden to Xiao Yan while her strength is low, she agrees to go with him.

A Warning About Missing Clan Members

A separate thread follows a snake clan envoy who reports that the clan's strong members have been disappearing. The envoy says the mysterious people behind the kidnappings have now been brought under the command of Xingyun Pavilion's young master, Xiao Yan. Xiao Yan's teacher then suspects that the kidnappings are tied to a hidden power behind the Soul Hall, one older and more mysterious than anyone has seen.

Back at Xingyun With the Soul Fruit

The episode closes with the team returning to Xingyun Pavilion. The soul fruit they carry is a top-quality gold-grade fruit. Combined with the jade spirit powder Xiao Yan provided earlier, it should fully restore the damage to the teacher's source soul weapons. The group promises to repay the favor, and Xiao Yan vows to rescue his father even if it costs him dearly.
