Episode 130 Full Recap (Spoilers)

Spoiler warning: this recap covers the whole episode.

Pill Tower Narrows Down the Search

Xiao Yan returns safely after refining the Three Thousand Burning Flame. Three Pill Tower leaders bring news about Yao Lao, but his teacher has been moved and his whereabouts are unknown. Pill Tower promises to keep searching, and a letter from home brings Xiao Yan a little comfort. Eventually the search finds a Hall of Souls branch in the Death Soul Mountain Range in the northwest of the Central Plains, and Yao Chen is likely being held there.

The Death Soul Mountain Range Is a Deadly Trap

The Death Soul Mountain Range is known for its bitter cold, icy fog, and dangerous magical beasts. Intelligence suggests the branch is guarded by at least five Fight Venerates, and it is unclear whether a Tian Venerate is also present. Pill Tower's people say the odds of a Tian Venerate are small, but Xiao Yan still feels the need for more strength before he goes in. He waits for Venerate Feng to come and join the rescue.

Xiao Yan Trains and Gathers Allies

Xiao Yan pushes himself hard for seven days, trying to master the fourth seal of Sky Burying Seal without the foundation of a Fight Venerate. He is not satisfied with his trump cards, and he refuses to stop until his teacher is rescued. Ten days later, Venerate Feng arrives in Holy Pill City, where he meets Tie Jian, a former Demon Sword Sect slayer who prefers to be called by that name. Xiao Yan reveals that he reached Nine-star Fight Ancestor, and he introduces Zi Yan, the Little Fairy Doctor, and Venerate Tianhuo as allies.

A Trek Through the Stone Swallowing Demon Ants

In the mountains, the group decides to walk rather than fly, since aerial searching would reveal their trail to the Hall of Souls. They scatter high-rank magical beast excrement to keep wild beasts away. When the forest falls too quiet, the group realizes they are under attack from Stone Swallowing Demon Ants. Zi Yan calls out the Stone Swallowing Ant Queen, which the ants obey. Zi Yan then asks the queen where the Hall of Souls is, and the ants lead the group forward toward the branch.
