The Surprise Raid on the Human Palace

The Great Heavenly Venerate Falls

The commotion draws in the Great Heavenly Venerate who rules the area. Xiao Yan gives everything he has, and with his allies he defeats the Venerate. The win looks like a turning point, but it is quickly followed by a much bigger threat.

The Deputy Hall Master Arrives

Just as the Great Heavenly Venerate dies, the mysterious Deputy Hall Master of the Soul Hall arrives. He is furious that his Soul Palace has been destroyed by Xiao Yan and his allies. The fight turns into a standoff, and Xiao Yan tells him that once he gets back he will find a way to deal with the rival who threatens him. The Deputy Hall Master claims a strength equal to a three-star Dou Sheng, which makes the threat very real.

Soul Essence Freed From the Soul Hall

Afterward, the group finds the captives the Soul Hall had been draining. They learn the soul essence came from people unjustly killed by the Soul Hall, and the freed captives thank Xiao Yan. Xiao Yan absorbs a huge amount of primordial essence, and the spirit of heaven and earth says that the power is meant for him.

A Rival Over the Pure Lotus Demonic Flame

The allies agree the raid is a major step against the Soul Palace, but they expect a strong response.
