Episode 48 Full Recap (Spoilers)

Spoiler warning: this recap covers the whole episode.

The Xiao Sect's first auction in Feng City

Xiao Li steps forward as leader of the Xiao Sect and opens the sect's first auction in Feng City. Rival elders are unimpressed, since they think a Dou Wang has no right to speak in the Black Corner Domain, and they demand that the real leader, Xiao Yan, come out. The Black Alliance members remind everyone that Feng City was their headquarters, and that they still reserve the right to take it back. Their talk turns into a fight, and the Xiao Sect's fighters push back hard.

The rivals back down

After the clash, the rivals pull away and say the trouble was only a misunderstanding. The auction then goes on as planned, with the main event being the pill auction. Xiao Li is pleased that the sect has held its ground, and he promises to send people to find the ingredients that Xiao Yan needs. The sect's control of Feng City now looks secure for the time being.

Medusa's contract and the pill deadline

Medusa has her own demands on Xiao Yan. She reminds him that the Sky Swallowing Python is part of their deal, and she expects Spirit Recovery Pills within a year. If he fails to deliver, she warns that he will end badly. Xiao Yan is still refining the materials, and the pressure of that deadline shapes every choice he makes at this stage.

Yao Lao is brought back from two years of sleep

Xiao Yan begins refining a rare medicinal ingredient in deep mountains, where the energy is strong enough to hide the work. The furnace is worn out, and the refining takes two months. When the pill is finally complete, Xiao Yan's teacher, Yao Lao, is brought out of his long sleep, and Medusa is confronted for her role in the events. Yao Lao says he slept quite a bit, and that the Douqi inside his body has nearly run out. The mountain that was meant to hide the awakening now becomes the place where the teacher returns.
