Episode 26 Full Recap (Spoilers)

Spoiler warning: this recap covers the whole episode.

Refining the Earth Spirit Pill

Xiao Yan refines the Earth Spirit Pill in the inner court mountains, processing each medicinal ingredient into its own liquid before mixing them together. The fire has to be held at its lowest point so the ingredients are not destroyed, and the purification step decides the pill's quality. As the refining nears completion, the pill begins to show spiritual consciousness, which his teacher says is due to the catalyst of Bone Spirit Cold Fire. The teacher warns him to hide the pill and to return to the ring to rest, because the soul body cannot hold its full strength for long.

Xun'er's family orders and a protective step back

Elder Ling reports that news of Xiao Zhan's disappearance has spread through the clans, and the patriarch believes part of the key may be missing. For security reasons, someone from the clan will come to pick Xun'er up in a month. The patriarch suspects a bond between Xun'er and Xiao Yan, and the elders feel that his talent, though rare, still needs time to grow. Xun'er steps away from Xiao Yan to protect him from family dissatisfaction, which is the real reason behind the separation.

A powerful presence and a familiar voice

A strong presence rushes toward the refining site, and Xiao Yan and his teacher hide quickly. The presence is said to be the most powerful elder in the inner court, and he is unsure who is refining pills in the courtyard. When the presence seems to be gone, a voice calls out, and it turns out to be Ziyan, who imitated the elder's voice to test Xiao Yan. She has come because the food pills Xiao Yan refined for her are used up, and she wants more of them.

Ziyan's price for help in the mountains

Ziyan explains that she has been sensing treasures in the mountains that others cannot. The Sky Demon Snow Ape guards medicinal ingredients in the valley, and she told Han Yue about the Earth Core Body Forging Milk that the ape protects. In exchange for any help in the mountains, she demands a fee. Xiao Yan agrees to refine more pills for her, and she brings the rare medicinal ingredients to his room so he can start.

A challenge at the sand and an urgent message

Lin Yan wants to try his attack, but Ziyan says she will eat him in one bite if he hurts Xiao Yan. The episode ends on urgent news: Xiao Yu hurriedly looks for Xiao Yan and sends him back to the outer courtyard. When Xiao Yan arrives, Xiao Yu is in tears, and the second brother calls him inside to see for himself. The scene closes with a crisis that waits behind the door.
