Battle Through The Heavens Season 5 Episode 82

Episode 82 Full Recap (Spoilers)

Spoiler warning: this recap covers the whole episode.

Xiao Yan Returns to a Changed Canaan College

Xiao Yan and his party come back to Canaan College, and he admits that the quiet days there are behind him. More responsibilities now sit on his shoulders, and his next task is to find a third kind of strange fire that can dissolve the devil's poison point. He also agrees to help Xinlan's family return to Danta, and a trip to Zhongzhou is already in view. In the middle of all this, Xiao Yan refines the Heavenly Demon Phoenix Relic. The episode makes clear he does not yet know that Han Feng used the saliva of the Bodhi incarnation to stir the greed of the devil and the old ghost.

Demon Flame Valley Arrives at the Gate

A barrier rises over the inner courtyard, and the students are ordered out quickly. The old devil of Demon Flame Valley arrives with his followers and is furious that the dean never came out to greet him. He demands that Xiao Yan be handed over for killing three of his elders, and he claims Xiao Yan also took the Bodhi body saliva. When the academy answers that Fang Yan and the others struck first, the old devil mocks the argument: by that logic, Xiao Yan should have simply let them kill him. The account, he insists, must be settled.

Elder Su Qian Demands the Dean Step Out

Elder Su Qian steps up and tells the old devil to call Mang Tianzhi out and talk to him directly. The old devil says he is not afraid of being laughed at, and he sneers that he is not afraid of Mang Tianzhi either. He vows to destroy the inner courtyard and makes clear that the boy he wants is Xiao Yan. The standoff hardens, and he says he will cut off Xiao Yan's limbs himself before taking him away. Each threat raises the stakes for the students still trying to get clear of the battlefield.

Su Qian Faces the Old Devil's Strength

The old devil says the real reason he came is the birth of the Bodhi incarnation. One remark notes that a woman like Su Qian reaching Douzong strength so young is surprising, and a retort points out that not everyone can climb so quickly, least of all an old man who has made no progress after years of practice. The defenders admit they may not be a match for him, and a warning goes out that the strength gap is too big. Xiao Yan answers that he can protect himself. The old devil's power is so great that he can influence the weather on a small scale, and his strength is judged to be at least Seven Star Douzong.

Xiao Yan's Poison Forces a Desperate Gamble

The fight now depends on Xiao Yan's poisonous blood, and the little medical fairy has to hold back the old devil while he tries to answer. Xiao Yan forces the poisonous blood out of his body, which is said to be fatal to ordinary strong people. His Buddha's Wrath Fire Lotus has only two different flames, and that is not enough to finish the old devil. Pressed hard, he admits he cannot face the old devil alone and turns to his teacher's bone spirit to steady himself.
