Episode 80 Full Recap (Spoilers)

Spoiler warning: this recap covers the whole episode.

Xiao Yan Takes the Bodhi Liquid

Xiao Yan faces Han Feng, a minion of the Soul Palace, and he is determined to avenge his teacher by ending the traitor. While he is fighting, Old Man Yingshan is surrounded and forced to release the Bodhi Liquid to escape. Xiao Yan gets the prize almost by accident, but the moment he holds it, he becomes the target of everyone present. The crowd turns on him, and the fight quickly spreads across the battlefield.

Doctor Goddess and Su Qian Step In

To protect Xiao Yan, the Doctor Goddess and Su Qian join the battle. Xiao Yan also strikes down three elders of Moyan Valley, and during the fight Fang Yan's aura disappears. Han Feng pushes hard, and Mo Tianxing decides the Heihuang Sect will no longer interfere. He praises Xiao Yan's tricks, says goodbye, and leaves with his people. Han Feng then withdraws as well, leaving Xiao Yan in control of the battlefield.

A Copy Hidden in the Liquid

Xiao Yan realizes that Yingshan's copy body is hidden inside the Bodhi Liquid. His mental perception is so sharp that he senses the trick, and he warns Yingshan that a copy destroyed in battle would injure the main body. He can also feel where that main body is, which makes the threat real. Yingshan finally gives up the liquid and walks away, admitting that he never truly sought the Bodhi Heart, only the liquid itself.

Back at Jianan Academy

Xiao Yan returns to Jianan Academy and hands Elder Su a gift. A sword technique that Xiao Li bought at the auction also plays a part, since Xiao Li offended a Combat Sect master to get it. Xiao Yan then plants a Heart Fire seed in his Second Brother's body with the Fallen Heart Fire, which can be activated with combat energy. The Energy Training Tower in the Inner Building has already helped the group train faster, and the story closes with a warning that the Ghost Demon, Moyan Valley's founder, may still be waiting.
