Episode 79 Full Recap (Spoilers)

Spoiler warning: this recap covers the whole episode.

A Trap Behind the Missing Body

After Old Man Yingshan seizes the Bodhi Liquid and escapes Heihuang City, he splits his body to draw attention. The original body then disappears, leaving the pursuers guessing. Xiao Yan comes to collect the Bodhi Liquid, but Yingshan's movements look wrong, so he suspects a trap. After some searching, he finds the real body, only to run into Han Feng, Mo Tianxing and others waiting nearby.

Han Feng Returns

Han Feng, who many believed dead, reappears and says he has broken through to the Combat Sect level. He vows to take Xiao Yan's soul, and he warns that even if Xiao Yan kills him once, he can certainly kill Xiao Yan twice. The confrontation turns personal, and the old rivalry becomes the center of the fight. Han Feng's return changes what Xiao Yan expected from the chase.

Mo Tianxing Joins the Attack

Sect Leader Mo of Heihuang weighs whether to keep quiet or to join the fight. A Moyan Valley ally promises to supply him with Sect Breakthrough Pills if he helps, and Mo agrees after being pressed to trust the promise. He orders his people to move against Xiao Yan, and the fight spreads beyond the original hunt for the Bodhi Liquid. The alliance shows how far the enemies will go to win the prize.

Strange Fire Against Transformation Flames

The Moyan Valley elders use the Fire Ember Mantra to mix their Transformation Flames, hoping to overwhelm Xiao Yan. Their attack proves costly for them, and the Sky Fire Phonics they summon cannot match Xiao Yan's Strange Fire. The flames collapse under the pressure, and Xiao Yan absorbs the Flame of Transformation as a prize. The victory makes the Moyan side look weaker than they hoped.

Moyan Vows Revenge

The Moyan leaders offer to leave if Xiao Yan returns the fire, but Xiao Yan refuses and keeps the flame. The Moyan side then vows revenge for the Second and Third Elders and promises to mobilize more forces against the Xiao Sect. The episode ends with Han Feng left in a daze, leaving the new threat from Moyan Valley hanging over the story.
