Battle Through The Heavens Season 5 Episode 72

Episode 72 Full Recap (Spoilers)

Spoiler warning: this recap covers the whole episode.

The Poison Sect Clears Its Traitors

With Xiao Yan's help, the Poison Sect removes the traitors from its ranks. The Ten Thousand Scorpions answer with Scorpion Bi Yan, who attacks Scorpion Mountain alongside two strong fighters, and the Scorpion master calls for a beast named Scorpio. A Soul Hall envoy is watching from hiding, and its aim is to kill Xiao Yan. The Scorpions have just lost their hidden support, so the battle moves into its most dangerous stage.

Cai Lin Forced to Unseal the Ernan Poison

As Scorpion Bi Yan unleashes his strongest skill, Cai Lin uses her Heavenly Poison Cage and has to unseal the Ernan poison again. The poison contaminates the energy around the battlefield, so it cannot be absorbed back. Each time the poison is released, she moves closer to death, and she tells the others that she has to finish the fight quickly. Her warning sets the terms for everything that follows.

The Sea Seal and the Scorpion Master's Fall

The fight turns when Eight Poles collapses and the Scorpion Sect Master falls, leaving the Ten Thousand Scorpions in disarray. The Iron Guardian gains strength by consuming souls, which makes him a fresh threat. Someone then uses the imperial Sea Seal to turn the tide, and the enemy is shocked that anyone could break it. Their speculation that the fighter might come from an ancient clan shows how little they understand about their opponents.

A Soul Hall Envoy Is Captured

The Soul Hall envoy warns that if he is killed, the Soul Hall will never spare anyone involved. Despite the threat, the fighters take him down and keep him imprisoned, planning to question him once the local fight is resolved. Cai Lin says she has infused Ernan Poison Blood into his body, so he cannot escape death. The episode closes with a warning that Xiao Yan's safety matters more than anything else, and that losing him would hurt more than any defeat.
