Battle Through The Heavens Season 5 Episode 71

Episode 71 Full Recap (Spoilers)

Spoiler warning: this recap covers the whole episode.

Three Xiao Yans Reach the Poison Sect

The episode opens with Xiao Yan arriving at the Poison Sect with his copies. The Poison Sect wants to capture a messenger from the Soul Hall, which broke with Doctor Xian and backs the rival Ten Thousand Scorpions. Xiao Yan agrees to fight the Scorpions alongside the Poison Sect. On the eve of the war, he discovers that the Poison Sect is not united, and the conflict between the Poison tribes is about to break out.

Traitors Strike From Within

Doctor Xian is betrayed by his own men, who are revealed as collaborators of the Ten Thousand Scorpions. Someone also placed a centipede in the camp the night before, which pins down the suspicion on the inside. The Poison Sect now has only four Battle Kings left, while the Scorpions and three traitors have eight between them. The battle breaks out across the camp, and the Poison Sect has to fight on two fronts at once.

Xiao Yan Clashes With the Scorpion Master

Xiao Yan takes on the master of Scorpion Mountain, who brings in a four-winged scorpion, a sixth level demon beast. Xiao Yan uses the Three Skyfire Change Mysteries and his Color Scale, and the enemy assumes he is boosting his strength with magic. The tide shifts when Xiao Yan takes out two of the Scorpion Battle Kings, and the enemy's morale collapses. That is when the Scorpions decide to call in a hired fighter, the Iron Guardian, who asks for proper payment before joining.

A Blood Scorpion Soul Is Unleashed

The hired fighter brings a soul body tied to the Blood Scorpion Emperor, a power that had been sealed inside his body. He plans to test the Ten Thousand Scorpion Blood Soul on Xiao Yan first, then use the Poison girl as the first sacrifice once his soul takes form. The enemy adds that taking her away would help unseal the Ernan poisonous body. The episode ends with that threat hanging over the Poison Sect, and the fight is far from over.
