Battle Through The Heavens Season 5 Episode 62

Episode 62 Full Recap (Spoilers)

Spoiler warning: this recap covers the whole episode.

The Flame Alliance Sets Off a Journey

Xiao Yan takes the dissolution of the Yunlan Sect as his opportunity, and he wins over powerful members of the empire to form the Flame Alliance. After seeing off Lin Xiuya and the others, he sets out with Ziyan Medusa for the Mountain of Warcraft. On the way, an accident puts him in danger, and Xiao Yan, whose strength is no longer what it used to be, decides to act boldly.

Uncle Kagan's Plea in Qingshan City

In Qingshan City, Uncle Kagan, still selling fresh bread, recognizes Xiao Yan and says the name matches the leader of the Flame Alliance. Kagan's mercenary group is in serious trouble in a bloody fight with the Snake Nest Mercenary Corps, whose leader is a six-star Dou Ling. Kagan offers to serve Xiao Yan as a loyal helper, but Xiao Yan says he must hurry to the Mountain of Warcraft. Before leaving, he gives Kagan a Fire Lotus Bottle to end the standoff, along with a jade piece carrying his soul mark that can be destroyed if a life-and-death crisis comes.

A Poison Valley and a Wind Leopard

The valley is rich in medicine, and its energy is pure enough to help a breakthrough. A level four Wind Leopard Beast there struggles under Xiao Yan's pressure, which seems strange because no magical beast has set foot in the valley before. The door is poisoned, and a Fairy Doctor warns that she will destroy the valley if the intruders do not leave within ten breaths. Her poison can even damage Color Scale Dou Qi, so Ziyan and Cai Lin are put at risk.

Xiao Yan Recognizes the Fairy Doctor

Xiao Yan identifies himself, and the Fairy Doctor recognizes him, though she is clearly strained by the situation. She offers an antidote, and Xiao Yan chooses to trust her because he believes she would not lie to him. He tells her that no matter what she has become, he would still consider her a friend, and she replies that she hopes they will not meet again. Her past, which the subtitles describe as a difficult fate, lingers behind their parting.

Closed-Door Training and a Slow Recovery

After taking the antidote, Ziyan recovers and admits she is hungry, so the group heads off to find food. Xiao Yan says he must go into closed-door training to break through. Before he goes, his progress is confirmed, and the episode closes on the first signs that the training is paying off.
