Episode 180 Full Recap (Spoilers)

Spoiler warning: this recap covers the whole episode.

A Breakthrough Inside the Yellow Spring

After three days of violent energy fluctuations, Xiao Yan finishes refining the Demon Saint's essence blood and activates the Heavenly Wrath of the Yellow Spring. Those waiting outside feel a terrifying aura, and he reaches the late stage of One-Star Dou Sheng. Earlier, he had captured an envoy from North Dragon Island and learned that the island plans to join the Nine Nether Earth Python Clan in besieging East Dragon Island. Xiao Yan and Yao Ming agree to help Zi Yan ease the internal disputes within the Ancient Void Dragon Clan.

Word of the Heavenly Demon Phoenix Advance

Yao Ming brings news that the Heavenly Demon Phoenix Clan has already set off for East Dragon Island. Most of its troops are Dou Zun level, but three Supreme Elders, known as the Three Heavenly Demon Phoenixes, have Dou Sheng strength, and together they could rival a Three Star Dou Sheng. Yao Ming offers to accompany Xiao Yan, but Xiao Yan decides to go alone with a few elders. Cai Lin stays behind in the Yellow Spring to keep training, and Yao Ming arranges guards and a barrier to protect the site.

The Phoenix Elders Wait for the Dragon Clan to Fall

Back with the Heavenly Demon Phoenix army, a Supreme Elder is in no hurry. Their warships have stayed in place for three days, and the elder wants the Ancient Void Dragon Clan to fight itself to exhaustion so the Phoenix can reap the benefits. That patience ends when a sudden attack exposes an intruder who is ready to fight.

Xiao Yan Strikes the Phoenix Army

The intruder appears to be Xiao Yan, who declares that the Phoenix clan is his target. The Phoenix side is stunned by his strength and suspects a Bodhi Seed is behind his fast growth. When Yao Ming steps in, the Phoenix elders are shocked, since they had believed him dead from cultivation deviation. Yao Ming says that Xiao Yan's enemy is his enemy. Xiao Yan warns the Phoenix that siding with the Three Dragon Islands against the Dragon Emperor will not end well, and offers them a chance to turn back. They refuse, and the Phoenix elders prepare to settle old grudges.
