Spoiler warning: this recap covers the whole episode.

An Envoy From North Dragon Island Arrives

An envoy from North Dragon Island claims to be an honored guest of the former clan leader, Yao Xiao Tian, and demands entry. The guards refuse, pointing out that Yao Ming now holds power, and the standoff quickly turns violent. Xiao Yan steps in and asks what really happened to East Dragon Island. Under pressure, the envoy admits that the Ancient Dragon Clan is in civil war, the Three Dragon Islands are attacking East Dragon Island, and the Northern Dragon King sent him with ancient Heavenly Serpent essence blood to win over the Nine Underworld Pythons. The price is the capture of East Dragon Island's new Dragon Emperor, and the Heavenly Demon Phoenix Clan was invited in as well. The envoy's men are quickly outmatched.

Xiao Yan Returns With the Demon Saint's Inheritance

Yao Ming greets Xiao Yan inside the hall and asks whether he is hurt. Xiao Yan says he is fine but needs a few months to recover, and he calls his win over the Demon Saint's remnant soul a narrow one that came down to luck. He reveals that he received the inheritance, and the cultivation method for Yellow Spring Heaven's Fury also appears on the stone slabs, so the clan can practice it freely from now on. He is still at late-stage Two Star Dou Sheng, so he cannot fully develop the technique yet. Yao Ming asks for a share of the essence blood, and Xiao Yan agrees, since the trip through the rock slabs was dangerous for everyone who helped.

Essence Blood Shared, and a Question About the Alliance

Xiao Yan hands out the legendary Demon Saint essence blood and keeps one drop for his teacher, enough to lift that teacher to One Star Dou Sheng. With it, Xiao Yan expects to reach Three Star Dou Sheng within three years. He then asks Yao Ming whether the clan was pressed into an alliance with the Taixu Ancient Dragon. Yao Ming confirms that the decision was made under Yao Xiao Tian, and that the elders expect an envoy from North Dragon Island to confirm it.

Xiao Yan Asks Yao Ming to Stay Out of It

Yao Ming says he shares the same intention to ally with the Taixu Ancient Dragon, but he wants to know why Xiao Yan is asking. Xiao Yan explains that East Dragon Island's new Dragon Emperor is a longtime companion, and that the other three Dragon Islands betrayed him by teaming up with the Heavenly Demon Phoenix Clan. He asks Yao Ming to keep the clan out of this internal fight. Yao Ming asks whether the Dragon Emperor still needs an ally, and the two agree to intercept the Heavenly Demon Phoenix Clan once it sets out.

Training in the Yin-Cold Yellow Spring

Before leaving, Xiao Yan asks to use the Nine Nether Yellow Spring for training. The water beneath is filled with dangerous yin-cold power, which suits the Seven-Colored Sky Swallowing Python, so Cai Lin sees it as a chance to grow. Xiao Yan gives her a Grade Nine Treasure Pill, the Bodhi Pill of Great Return, which can significantly raise her chances of entering the Half-Saint realm. He asks Yao Ming to post guards at the site if he has to leave, and Cai Lin promises to be careful.
