Spoiler warning: this recap covers the whole episode.

Yao Chen Recovers and Rewards His Disciple

Yao Chen has successfully rebuilt his physical body and evolved into a semi-holy power, and he has defeated the eighth and ninth heavenly masters of the Soul Palace. His disciple Xiao Yan had sacrificed a great deal to save him, and Yao Chen personally hands over the Bone Age Cold Flame in return. Xiao Yan then gets word that Yun Yun, a friend from his past, needs help in the Flower Sect, and he decides to go and help her.

The Flower Sect Succession Dispute

When Xiao Yan arrives at the Flower Sect, Yun Yun has been chosen by the Flower Elder to take the sect leader position. Her rival Hua Jin pushes back, claiming the Flower Elder was fooled and that the old sect leader's battle energy should not go to an outsider. Yun Yun says she does not want the position, but the battle energy has been sealed inside her by the Flower Elder, so Hua Jin is told to come and take it if he wants it.

Xiao Yan Steps Into the Duel

Xiao Yan introduces himself as the young pavilion master of the Star Pavilion and says he will settle the dispute in a fight. Hua Jin is a four-star Dou Zun with a six-star Dou Zun standing beside him, and he dismisses Xiao Yan as no match for them. Xiao Yan's side is not intimidated, and the sect's disciples watch closely as the two sides prepare to clash.

The Transformation of the Three Mysterious Fires

Xiao Yan uses a secret technique to rise to four-star Dou Zun strength and merges several heavenly fires into a single attack. The Destructive Fire Lotus hits so hard that the six-star Dou Zun's full-power attack is no longer enough to hold the line, and the sect's disciples are shaken. The Grand Elder steps in to stop the fight before the sect's buildings are destroyed.

A Sect Leader and a Warning From Tianming

With the duel over, Hua Jin concedes and hands over the jade token of the sect leader's identity to Yun Yun. The Grand Elder warns that the Flower Sect could become a branch of the Tianming Sect if it sides with them, but Xiao Yan's side argues that an alliance with the Star Pavilion will make the sect stronger. The Grand Elder chooses the Star Pavilion, and Hua Jin's side breaks away. Yun Yun is named the new Flower Sect leader, and the sect bows to her.
