Battle Through The Heavens Season 5 Episode 138

Episode 138 Full Recap (Spoilers)

Spoiler warning: this recap covers the whole episode.

An old friend and a rush for the light

The mysterious figure who snatched the Monster Pill from Xiao Yan turns out to be Qinglin, an old friend, and the reunion leads to an invitation to team up. Xiao Yan asks him along on the hunt for a legendary Sky Grade Combat Technique. When the seal opens, every faction rushes toward the light cluster that marks the technique, and ancient dolls strike hard. Xiao Yan, shielded by his allies, nears a scroll believed to be a Heaven Grade technique. Then Chen Tiannan picks him out as the target and demands a debt for his son.

A scroll that is not what it seems

The scroll turns out to be a decent cultivation method, not the Heaven Grade technique everyone wanted. Major forces such as Wind Lightning Pavilion, Burning Flame Valley and the Heaven Demon Phoenix Tribe have already claimed their parts, so they step back. The group suspects that the ruin's owner was cunning and that Soul Hall knew the secret beforehand. Their real target, they realize, was the skeleton of a Master Dou Sheng.

The skeleton awakens and the ruin turns deadly

The Dou Sheng skeleton unleashes a sound wave that can kill a Dou Zun in an instant, and several Soul Hall masters die in the trap. Old Ghost Zhai Xing and the Tang Valley Master are pulled into the chaos, and Zhai Xing blames Xiao Yan for the blood that dripped onto the skeleton. Soul Hall demands that Xiao Yan go first, since no one escapes unless the framework is defeated. Xiao Yan accepts, though he warns that the skeleton's remnant soul has absorbed blood mist and grown stronger.

A forced alliance and a hidden inscription

Burning Flame Valley, Ice River Valley and Xingyun Pavilion agree to attack together with Xiao Yan. Inscriptions on the skeleton then reveal that the real treasure lies within it, which explains why Zhai Xing pushed so hard to attack. The group decides that the skeleton is not unbeatable if they unite, and the joint assault begins.

The skeleton rises again

The skeleton comes back to life and uses Big Sky, while others warn of the Palm of Creation. Techniques such as Fire-Splitting Tsunami and Three Thousand Lightning Illusionary Body fly through the ruin as the clash turns into a desperate exchange. The outcome is still uncertain when the episode ends.
