Episode 122 Full Recap (Spoilers)

Spoiler warning: this recap covers the whole episode.

Xiao Yan Clears the Soul Illusionary World

The Pill Conference begins with three levels of selection. In the first, the Soul Illusionary World, Xiao Yan overcomes his inner demons and advances. The second stage is the Pill World, a treasure-filled place that every alchemist dreams of. Xiao Yan begins searching for the ingredients he needs there, and that search brings him face to face with Chen Xian.

Chen Xian Attacks and Xiao Yan Holds His Ground

Chen Xian and two Dou Zong fighters from the Xuanming Sect surround Xiao Yan and call for him to die. Xiao Yan fights through the pressure with Skyfire transformations and his Xuanhuo knife, and the duel shifts when Chen Xian's meridians are cut. Chen Xian's allies swear the Xuanming Sect will not forgive him, while Xiao Yan says Chen Xian had promised an alliance first and then turned on him. Cao Ying's group invites Xiao Yan to join them, but he declines and says he is used to working alone.

A Hall of Souls Team Hunts the Pill World

In another part of the Pill World, a Hall of Souls team led by a boss and a big miss searches for a Spiritual Liquid Pill and the Earth Heart Soul Essence. Their guardian is a Water Tiger Dragon, and they use a Shuiyun Fruit intoxicating liquid to knock out rivals. When their plan is exposed, they admit they are from the Hall of Souls and show a much more cruel side. Their attacks also raise the question of who else in the arena is working with them.

Breaking the Soul Barrier

Xiao Yan says he can destroy the soul barrier that the Hall of Souls team has set up, but the barrier will draw in the attacker, so he needs someone to hold the minions back. Cao Ying's group agrees to help, and Miss Cao gives him fifteen minutes. Xiao Yan then faces a Dou Zun-level opponent in a Valley of Flames Skyfire transformation and fire-devouring waves. The barrier falls, the rivals are told to leave, and the Hall of Souls team flees, with the chase left open as the episode ends.
