Episode 103 Full Recap (Spoilers)

Spoiler warning: this recap covers the whole episode.

Slipping into the Sifang Pavilion arena

Xiao Yan comes to the Sifang Pavilion Conference to raise the odds of rescuing his teacher. He disguises himself as an ordinary spectator and sneaks into the venue, where heroes from across heaven have gathered for the championship. Before the event officially begins, he visits Venerable Feng, an old friend of his teacher, to build support for the rescue. Then the battles start, and Xiao Yan watches while trying to stay unnoticed.

Lin Yan cornered by Wang Chen

Lin Yan has already been cornered and forced to surrender, still chased by the powerful Wang Chen. Xiao Yan steps in to save him, only to get caught in a much bigger problem, because Wang Chen is already halfway to Dou Zong. Wang Chen mocks the young challenger as a child and promises to make him regret offending Huangquan Pavilion. Onlookers are stunned to learn that Xiao Yan has reached Dou Zong level, and Wang Chen starts to fear losing, which makes the clash far from settled.

Recognized and wanted by the Wind and Thunder Pavilion

Someone in the crowd recognizes him: this is Xiao Yan, the one wanted by the Wind and Thunder Pavilion. Onlookers call him crazy for daring to show up at all. Xiao Yan is said to have forcefully broken through the Pavilion's wind and thunder, which turned into a nine-day thunderstorm that three elders rushed to meet. The fallout now moves from the arena to Thunder Mountain, where the old grudge is open again.

Feng claims the student and the theft charge

Venerable Lei presses Xiao Yan on his relationship with Venerable Feng and demands proof. Xiao Yan recalls how the cold Bone Spirit Fire saved him when he was dying of poison, and Feng reads that flame as proof of a shared legacy. Feng gives his real name as Fengxian, calls Xiao Yan a student of an old friend, and offers to be his teacher. Lei then accuses him of stealing the three thousand thunder transformations method, but Xiao Yan says he bought it at an auction outside Zhongzhou. Feng vows to stand with his own pavilion to the end if the Wind and Thunder Pavilion insists on taking the young man's life, and the teacher still held by the Soul Hall keeps the stakes high.

A duel set by proxy

The dispute narrows to a duel. Lei suggests letting Feitian settle it, but Feng objects that Feitian's generation is far above Xiao Yan's. Lei then proposes Feng Qing'er of Fenglei Pavilion, whose strength is described as far beyond an ordinary Dou Zong. The terms tie the grudge to the thunder method, and outside strength is forbidden. The episode closes mid-duel, with Xiao Yan promising to show his true strength through a wind and thunder technique called the strongest fighting skill of the Wind and Thunder Pavilion.
