Episode 52 Full Recap (Spoilers)

Spoiler warning: This recap covers the major events and revelations from Episode 52 of Nine Suns Martial God, including the confrontation with the founding patriarch's remnant soul and the incident involving Sima Xuan inside the Small Pill Tower.

The Terrifying Soul Power Inside the Small Pill Tower

As Ye Jun explores the Small Pill Tower, he is guided toward an important location containing an extraordinary concentration of soul power. The closer he gets, the more terrifying the pressure becomes. Even someone at the peak of their strength would hesitate to approach this place carelessly. Suddenly, a mysterious figure appears and accuses them of having improper intentions toward the Small Pill Tower.

The Founding Patriarch Attempts to Take a New Body

The mysterious figure is the remnant soul of the Tong Sheng Sect's founding patriarch. Huang Shang, the eighth-generation leader of the sect, identifies himself as the patriarch's descendant. However, the ancestor shows no concern for his descendants and demands the cultivation technique used to reshape a physical body. When Huang Shang refuses to cooperate, the patriarch threatens to kill him. The ancestor then reveals his desire to possess a superior physical body and return to the world. He attempts to seize control of Ye Jun's body, but his soul encounters an unexpected resistance. Golden light appears around Guan Hai, causing the patriarch's remnant soul to dissipate. Realizing that his plan has failed, the ancestor desperately offers to teach alchemy and pass on all his skills. Ye Jun refuses to listen and destroys the remnant soul completely.

The Second Floor and Sima Xuan's Jealousy

With the founding patriarch's remnant soul extinguished, the group prepares to refine the remaining resources. Meanwhile, Sima Xuan successfully reaches the second floor of the Small Pill Tower, earning praise from his family. However, attention soon shifts toward another contestant whose performance is proving equally impressive. Sima Xuan becomes increasingly frustrated when he realizes that Lu Qianqian has also reached the second floor. Unable to accept that someone he considers inferior is competing with him, he grows determined to eliminate her before she can advance further.

Sima Xuan's Soul Is Attacked by the Small Pill Tower

Sima Xuan uses a magic weapon given to him by his master to attack his rival's soul. He believes the damage will prevent the other contestant from refining pills and allow him to establish himself as the true alchemy genius. However, his plan does not work as expected. The attack's intended target remains unharmed, leaving Sima Xuan shocked. His situation quickly becomes worse when the Small Pill Tower's terrifying soul power turns against him. Sima Xuan begins suffering unbearable pain and eventually loses consciousness. When the others arrive, they discover that his soul has been shattered. The elders investigate and learn that Sima Xuan repeatedly rang an iron bell, which was actually Elder Long's soul power magic weapon. Its unauthorized use appears to have triggered a restriction within the Small Pill Tower.

Lu Qianqian Passes the Test

The elders realize that the Small Pill Tower has attacked Sima Xuan because of the forbidden use of the soul power treasure. Concerned about the safety of the tower, they announce that nobody will be allowed to use soul power magic treasures inside it from now on. Elder Long's disciple begins recovering from the incident, while Lu Qianqian receives confirmation that she has successfully passed the test. She is called out of the tower, and Sima Xuan is left to face the consequences of his own actions. With this year's apprenticeship test officially concluded, an opportunity to enter the Small Pill Tower's next stage appears. Ye Jun prepares to seize the moment and declares that he is coming for the Little Pill Tower.
